Born in 1989 and raised in South Germany, Sebastian Hallabrin grew up surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Bavarian nature. He spent much of his youth biking and hiking in the nearby Alps, fostering a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a keen eye for visual beauty.

After finishing German High School, Sebastian moved to London in 2009, where he fell in love with the vibrancy and diversity of big city life. During this time, his interest in street photography blossomed. Photography, which began as a casual hobby, soon became a creative passion. Sebastian first earned a Double Master of Science Degree in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University and the United Nations University in the Netherlands. Following this, he pursued a degree in Computer Science from the University of London, adding a technical dimension to his skillset. His academic journey also included a year in Istanbul, where he studied photography and found inspiration in the city’s rich cultural and cosmopolitan milieu.

After completing his studies, Sebastian lived in Paris and later in New York City, working for international organizations such as the OECD and United Nations. Upon returning to Germany, he applied his skills in the startup ecosystem in Berlin, helping early-stage companies grow and succeed. Throughout these transitions, his photography evolved, reflecting the unique light, perspectives, and atmospheres of the cities he lived in—whether it was the vibrant hues of New York City’s streets, the ethereal fog on a Berlin rooftop, or the cinematic moment when Paris’s Metro Line 6 reaches Pont de Bir-Hakeim.

Now back home in South Germany, Sebastian works in the IT sector in Munich, combining his technical expertise with his artistic pursuits. He has found a harmonious balance between city and landscape photography, capturing fresh and evocative scenes that showcase his distinctive sense of light and perspective.
